Perched atop a hill on 5 landscaped acres and surrounded by the rolling green hills of a 165 acre grazing property with spectacular views from Mt Warning to the rainforests of Springbrook Ranges, Hillcrest is located in beautiful Crystal Creek, just outside historic Murwillumbah in the Tweed Valley, Tropical Northern NSW. Just 35 minutes drive from Gold Coast airport, 75 minutes from Brisbane, 45 mins from Byron Bay and 12 mins from Murwillumbah. Catering for one couple only, Hillcrest Cottage is set in a secluded rainforest garden for the ultimate in peace and privacy. With real wood fire in the lounge, Hillcrest Cottage is ideal for a mid-winter romantic interlude and a perfect honeymoon destination at any time of the year. Other facilities include split system air-conditioning, flat screen TV, DVD and stereo system with CD player. As well as a fully equipped kitchen with gas stove and microwave oven, fridge, toaster and all kitchen equipment; glass sliding doors from the lounge open to your private verandah where you’ll find your own gas BBQ, sun lounges and outside dining suite for alfresco meals. Separate from the lounge you'll find a QS Bedroom, large ensuite bathroom with top of the range luxury double spa bath and separate shower, heater, hairdryer, robes, candles and a selection of toiletries. Cottage guests can choose to fully self cater or have their kitchen stocked with breakfast provisions, including some of our famous home-made bread and free range eggs.Located in the main house, which is built in the shape of a square dough-nut around a central atrium, the two B&B suites are in a private guest wing with massage room and small guest lounge. Both guest suites enjoy QS beds, ensuite bathrooms ~ one with luxury double spa bath, one with full size ordinary bath ~ towels, pool towels, hairdryers, robes, candles, bubble bath and a selection of toiletries, as well as in-room tv/dvd. Both have double glass sliding doors to a large verandah with table, chairs and hammock outside each room and views over rolling green hills to Mt Warning in the distance. The private guest lounge, with Eco fireplace for winter romance and a/c for summer comfort, is equipped with stereo system, book, CD/ DVD library, stocked fridge and 24 hour beverage-making facilities. Double glass sliding doors open from the lounge to the charming central atrium with decorative fishpond and resident Green Tree Frogs during the warmer months.
